How Do I preform a "hard reboot" of my GPS system? |
Rebooting Communication Unit
During the life of the communication unit it is sometimes necessary to power down and power up the black communication unit which is located inside your Trailer Dog Security System.
Please use the following steps to reboot the unit
Open the Trailer Dog Box using a Phillips head screwdriver, you will have to remove either two or four screws from the front of the unit to remove the cover.
Once the cover is removed, find the black communication device. It will have (2) antenna wires screwed into one end of it along with a wiring harness plugged into the same end. Pull the white end of the wiring harness from the communication unit by squeezing the clip located on the side of the white plug.
Once removed wait 15 seconds and plug harness end back into the unit. The system will chirp (2) times when it is plugged back in correctly. If you do not get (2) chirps then please make sure the harness is plugged correctly at both ends and also make sure that your existing battery is fully charged.
Replace cover.

How do i reprogram remote for my security system? |
Programming Remotes
Each unit can handle up to (3) Remotes (AC7018). Programming the remotes can be achieved by following the directions below:
These need to be completed one after the other so please read all directions first.
Find the Red button which is located at the right bottom corner of the main (Green) board inside the unit.
Lay each of your remotes out to be able to access the (Lock) button on all of them.
Press and hold down the red button on the main board that you located earlier. Hold for approximately 10 to 15 seconds until the board/siren chirps quickly (3) times in a row then release.
At that time press the lock button on each of the remotes (one at a time). The board/siren will chirp (1) time for each time the remote lock button is pressed.
When you have finished each of the remotes, they will be programmed to your unit.
Wait 45 seconds and then test each remote by pressing the lock and unlock buttons to confirm the programming. If any of the remotes did not program to the board then repeat all the steps above for all the remotes over again.
